Young fans of BBM
With the youth sector or mga kabataan for BBM getting more active with their support for Senator Bongbong Marcos, Jr. to run for the presidency in 2016, the BBM United Facebook group easily ballooned to 37,000 members in less than 80 days. That's not yet reaching the 3rd month yet.
What made the clamor for BMM's political future is the good senator's most recent message for the members of the BBM United group when the group reached its 30,000 membership mark in less than 2 months as shown below:
Thirty thousand + in such a short period with no paid advertising; I'm impressed. But more than wishing to bask, so to speak, in this show of support, what I'd really want to do is thank the creator of this page who I still have to meet, plus all the admins, all indefatigable. I would like to give equal thanks to all of you that have joined this wonderful group with your fantastic graphics and pictures and kind words. Kudos to all of you that have kept the discussion in a high plane where real learning can and does take place, at least for me it has. I do read your ideas, suggestions, opinions, and they are instructive to say the least.
Four years is a long time and in politics, it's a lifetime and more. But you could also say four years is just around the corner and that, too, is true depending on one's perspective. I'm not about to teach you how to run this page, something you know better than me, but I must commend you all for insisting that discussions are not to be made in the manner of "old politics" -- name calling, irrelevant comments, ad hominem or ad nauseam arguments, red herrings, etc. I stand for "new politics" -- unity, forward looking, "no" to the blame game, engaging the young people of our country who will be our future leaders, and less politics and more non-partisan actions from our leaders. It's time to move on, to act with urgency, to be more competitive in the world arena, and to show love of country and not just say it. Again, thank you all. Mabuhay po kayong lahat! Salamat po. -- Senator Bongbong Marcos, Jr.
